It’s not all giving up sugar all the time around here.
Okay, it actually is. I’m in that “doing a new thing so totally obsessive” mode about it right now, actually. We’re on Day… 5? It’s getting a lot easier and I have been strong, no slip ups or deliberate sugar snacking, though I had stealth sugar in some sauce because I wasn’t thinking about it. Really loving the food tracker at My Fitness Pal. Still having mad cravings, but maybe they’re less strong. Discovering all the places that I habitually associate with getting treats is interesting. For example, go to Target and crave a chocolate bar because you always buy a chocolate bar at Target, etc…
ANYWAY! I am a little behind in blogging this, but here we go. I am doing the Bead Soup Blog Party, of course, and very excited about it. My partner for this round (we are in the first reveal round, 3/30) is Sheila Davis, of Stone Designs, and she makes the most BEAUTIFUL lampworked glass beads and focals. Holy cow. Like I needed another glass artist to feed my addiction to lovely things…
She sent me the most lovely collection of things for my “soup” and I am delighting in the color combination. I’m also completely stumped because those are not colors I work with, ever. But, gorgeous! She made the glass beads and the focal, and then there are some lovely deep plummy dyed pearls, amethyst beads, sterling accents and Swarovski bicones. I’m thinking a necklace and some earrings, but we’ll see what I come up with! She made the nicest post about the soup I sent her… so glad it was ok!
Etsy update later on tonight… but for now, back to the studio!

That’s funny…I associate Target with Scooby-Doo DVD’s lol.
Those plum pearls are gorgeous. I acan see them with some sort of burnished copper in a sort of spiders web inside the ring as a necklace.
