We had a sweet little female cat, Tiffany. Not a trouble maker, never got into anything. And an incredibly mischievious male cat, Oscar. Soon after bringing Tiffany home, we kept finding shredded tissues and toilet paper. We blamed Oscar, thinking he was jealous of Tiffany. Until one day we caught Tiffany at it.
Of the two we have now, Magnus overturns the garbage can in the bedroom or bathroom (mostly tissues, etc) when he doesn’t get his way. That means not being fed/petted/played with/cooed over when he wants it.
Cyrus opens the cupboard doors. The hinges have a strong spring, so he opens them just a few inches, then lets them slam shut. He repeats this because he knows we’ll come running and he’ll get the attention he feels is his due.
And they both get that exact expression when they’re caught.
